Why Us?
Connecting artists, clients and assistants
Here at ‘Find Me An Assistant’ we are bridging the divide between artists, clients and assistants, with the focus solely on skills, expertise and availability.
So much of the work in our industry is found by word-of-mouth, but when assistants pull out of projects, move on in their careers or fail to deliver, it can be hard for artists and clients to connect with new or the latest up-and-coming assistants.
We recognise this struggle to find a reliable assistant, with the relevant skills to suit requirements, in the right location and with the relevant availability, sometimes incredibly last minute.Â
By allowing assistants to fill in their own profiles with all the important information artists need, and keeping their availability up-to-date with our easy-to-use calendar, our site can help assistants get bookings and artists/clients find assistants more quickly, more easily and more often.
Helping assistants showcase their talent
We also help connect assistants looking to expand their portfolio through unpaid/collaborative or test work.Â
Expanding your portfolio to help showcase your talent is what helps propel assistants into more work. Â
By selecting what type of work you are open to, this can help artists as well as other creatives such as stylists, photographers or models find you and your work for any projects they have coming up.
How does it work?
Artists/clients start by selecting the date(s) for the job required. This filters to a full list of every assistant available on that date.
They can then choose to filter down further by specific skills, location, payment terms etc – even as far as whether you have your own car or not.
Once these filters have been applied, the artist/client can see the profiles of all available assistants who meet their requirements, shortlist them and then create a job post with any further specifics they wish to share – exact timings, niche skills, location etc – and send this out to the shortlist.
This post will then appear as a job request in the shortlisted assistants’ inboxes to be either accepted subject to further discussion or declined.
The bridge is now open for the artist/client and assistant to see if the job works for both parties and either communicate via our in-website chat facility or pass on details to communicate elsewhere and discuss the job in more depth.
What are the benefits?
By keeping your availability up-to-date on our site, you are ensuring you can quickly and easily be found and offered last minute jobs, that you might never have accessed elsewhere without having the right contacts or being around the right people at the right time.
By shortlisting your own list of potential assistants before issuing your job brief, you won’t be inundated with unsuitable/unqualified/unavailable applications.
Assistants will not have access to your contact information unless you chose to share it, reducing your inbox and workload.Â
Our assistants have a varied skillset, including:
- Fashion Week

- Music videos
